This time of year, we are reminded of the importance of giving thanks and supporting our local community. Recently, our team came together to support two amazing events that make a difference in the community they serve.

 

11^th Annual Cobb Diaper Day

Now in its 11^th year, Mopdog provided marketing and communications support to Cobb Diaper Day, an effort led by the Barbara Hickey Children’s Fund to collect diapers for donation to local organizations serving the community. Through website and social media management of the Cobb Diaper Day accounts, we informed audiences about the diaper drive, drop off locations, important dates and much more. We also participated during the actual event on September 30.

 

Our Chief Strategy Officer, Cheryl Musial, provided marketing and communications support. Cheryl is a founding committee member, and she is always ready to assist The Barbara Hickey – Cobb Diaper Day with marketing and communications efforts.

 

Other Mopdog team members provided a helping hand. Pauline Snell, Mopdog Project Manager, assisted the official diaper count throughout the event, Copywriter, Estefany Palacio, kept a record of the incredible event by taking pictures and video and Intern Carson Campbell, picked up diapers and delivered to event.

 

This year, the organizations that benefitted from the diaper drive efforts included the Center for Family Resources, Cobb & Douglas Public Health, liveSAFE Resources, MUST Ministries, Ser Familia, Simple Needs GA, Communities in Schools of Georgia in Marietta/Cobb County, 7 Bridges to Recovery and Sweetwater Mission.

 

Thanks to the efforts provided by the community, over 125,000 diapers were collected and distributed to the different organizations.

2019 Chalktoberfest

A combination of the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art annual Chalk Art Festival with the Craft Beer Festival, Chalktoberfest brings the community together for a weekend filled with art and entertainment. The event began in 2013 as a fundraiser for the museum, and it has grown to attract thousands of people to Marietta Square for a fun-filled weekend. This year, Chalktoberfest took place on October 12 and 13. 86 artists from all over the world worked on their pieces live.

 

Promoting art, creativity, unity and fun, Chalktoberfest has been one of Mopdog’s community partners for several years. Mopdog provided in-kind services surrounding Chalktoberfest event signage design services. In recognition of our support, one of the chalk drawings, titled “Sign My Cast,” was created for Mopdog.
