The Challenge
E. Smith needed to enhance its digital and print communications to reach audiences better and provide them with the latest company news, industry insights, and seasonal offers while maintaining their long-running local, family-owned feel and tone.
Problem Solved
Making sure to keep the essence of the E. Smith Heating & Air Conditioning brand, Mopdog revamped the company’s logo and E. Man character to reflect the long-standing presence of E. Smith in the community with an updated, modern look. The revamped identity was then reflected across the business pack, print marketing materials, and newly implemented social media platforms.
E. Man brought a one-of-a-kind persona to life. The hand-drawn character was incorporated into all branded collateral to add a fun, exciting element to the company’s identity. E. Man is fully customizable, offering endless possibilities for brand expression through different personalities and costumes. The illustrations are featured in animated videos, which serve as advertisements and instructional videos, as well as in printed newsletters and monthly emails.
A big hit and consumer favorite, the renewed brand extends into a seasonal newsletter, Temperature Talk, with content crafted and graphics designed by Mopdog. Through these direct mail pieces and advertisements, E. Smith’s customers receive industry updates, special savings, reminders about products or services, company news, and even fun games and puzzles for kids.
In addition to E. Smith’s newsletters, Mopdog supports the company’s digital communication efforts by developing monthly email campaigns aimed at informing clients of the latest industry happenings, company services and solutions, and savings opportunities, as well as animation videos with topical content.
The print Newsletter reaches 13K+ homes a year. It is the #1 promotional item that leads to calls and service requests.
