You’re Not Posting Too Much…We Promise
In fact, the majority of businesses are most likely not posting enough, especially on Facebook. According to Buffer, when Facebook updated its algorithm to show less content from businesses and more content from friends and family, Page engagement dropped drastically.
Facebook Page engagement has dropped by more than 50% over the past 18 months.
The average engagement for individual Page posts has also dropped nearly two-thirds, from 4,490 to 1,582.
How can businesses compete with the ever-changing Facebook algorithm? Is it time for businesses to quit trying on Facebook? Is social media marketing coming to a halt?
The answer is NO!
Instead, businesses should focus more efforts to social media, as Buffer indicates that a rise in Page post frequency results in increased engagements for the Page. It is important to note that the engagements per post may decrease, but the overall engagement of the Page should increase.
