Thanksgiving Volunteering!
Generous people donated thousands of canned foods. Byron and Adam are packing a box for a family of 3-4.
On Wednesday, the Mopdog team spent the day sorting through tables of food and packing boxes for The Center for Family Resources’ Annual Thanks for Giving campaign.
Through the food drive, The CFR is able to provide families with a Thanksgiving meal who could not otherwise afford one. There is even extra food for families to feed their children during the Thanksgiving break.
The whole team headed over to Jim Miller Park where we joined up with other volunteers to pack hundreds of boxes! Some of us were “sorters,” “shoppers” and “box makers,” among other jobs.
Working as a team, we prepared food boxes for different family sizes: 1-2, 3-4 and 5+. Last year The CFR provided for nearly 1,500 families. Stay tuned to see how many families the CFR will feed this year!
We enjoyed this opportunity to help contribute to our community and bring the tradition of Thanksgiving to many families.
We were happy to help our community during Thanks for Giving 2012!
