Do’s and Don’ts When Using a Virtual Background

 

If you have an idea for your background, ensure the elements you choose are cohesive. Remember, your digital background should enhance the virtual experience, not take away or distract from the content of your presentation.

 

Do:

• Present your logo as an element of the
  background
• Use colors that will contrast well on screen
• Use bright, even lighting when uploading your background and
  presenting
• Follow the resolution guidelines
  provided by the platform where you will be presenting

 

 

Don’t:

• Make your logo the whole background
• Use colors or elements that will distract from your presentation
• Have very low  or extremely bright lighting
• Add a background without looking at the resolution guidelines provided by the platform where you will be presenting
