To take branding and communication to the next level, it is important to offer something special and unique. Branded collateral is a chance to connect with clients and make a company’s services clear. This personal touch will give the impression of high quality and a real sense that the company cares about treating clients well.

In May, one of Mopdog’s clients initiated a project to find something special for sales executives to pass out to existing and prospective customers. The real goal was to include referrals cards with messaging about services and magnets with contact information to make using their company an easy solution. The very important secondary goal was to show some appreciation for any gained business from these clients.

Gathering corporate gifts or packaging giveaways takes a large investment of time. For this project, Mopdog designed hard-stock cardboard boxes to look like a suitcase, with a special tropical design and tagline, “Relax. We have you covered.” The suitcase was then filled with goodies for a vacation…a Desk Vacation.

The Mopdog team pitched a broad range of 10 to 15 items, ruling out items such as sunscreen for fear of melting during shipping. In the end, the suitcase included sunglasses, a deflated beach ball and a tumbler filled with drink mixers and cocktail umbrellas. For two weeks, boxes and boxes of specialty products were stacked in the office. Then our dog pack came together to assemble 260 packages and fill them with goodies. The suitcases were then bundled into giant boxes and shipped to different locations throughout the country.

Now that the Desk Vacations have arrived and been opened, the client said everyone  loved the idea, with comments about the packages being both cute and creative. At Mopdog, we love hearing great feedback from our clients and knowing our hard work was a success.
