The Crayola Theory

As a designer I know that a color is more than the reflection of light from an object meeting our eyes. Color conveys motion, affects people’s moods, attracts attention, organizes content, emphasizes elements, invokes a psychological reaction and tells a story.

Photographer Daniel Seung Lee shows his understanding of the power of color through his Crayola Theory project. The project is a literal representation of Crayola’s crayon titles. Lee takes Crayola color to a new level using physical objects and harmoniously matching each color’s hex code.
