Movies inspire us, make us cry, tug at our heartstrings, bring us to the edge of our seats, scare us silly and get our hearts racing. Movies allow us to escape reality, if only for a few hours, and become invested in the lives of fictional characters.

Earlier in the week the Mopdog pack put together a list of their favorite movies. Maybe one of them will become your new favorite.

Brooke Murphy – Christmas Vacation. My husband thinks it’s unbelievably dumb, but I make him watch it every year.

Cheryl – Classic movies like It’s a Wonderful Life and the The Thin Man.

Byron – I like anything from Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese. My favorite movie is probably The Aviator.

Katelyn – Batman trilogy, The Proposal and really any superhero movie.

Adam – Back to the Future, Jurassic Park and Ghost World.

Brooke McMillan – P.S. I love You and the Thor movies.

Fiona – Moonrise Kingdom, Perks of Being a Wallflower and Moulin Rouge are three of my favorite movies.

Zack  –  Oldboy, Redline and Primer.

Lauren – We Are The Millers, This is 40 and She’s Out Of My League are at the top of my favorites list right now. But most romantic comedies steal my heart and give me the giggles.

Chris Vroman – The Dark Knight, Avengers, Django Unchained and of course, I’m a sucker for Citizen Kane.

Garrett – I have many favorite movies so I cannot choose just one. A copout I know but it is what it is. Saving Private Ryan, The Breakfast Club, Goodfellas, Dazed and Confused, Red Dawn, Taxi Driver and Old Boy are some of my top favorites.

Carolyn – Finding Nemo, National Treasure, 50 First Dates, Hitch and The Sound of Music
