Celebrations Are In Order!

At Mopdog it’s no secret we are dog enthusiasts, so we were excited to see a special day set aside especially for canines. August 26 is known as National Dog Day, 24 hours devoted to celebrating and showing appreciation for your unconditionally loyal furry friend. National Dog Day was established in 2004 by Colleen Paige as a day to honor dogs and to encourage donations and recognition for rescue dogs.

Everyone was in on the celebratory day! Best Friends Pet Care in Mariettta, Ga. recognized the day by giving away free doggy ice cream! Nationaldogday.com offered 50 ways to celebrate. Here are a few of their ideas:

  • Buy your dog a chic and comfy new bed
  • Pamper your dog in pure luxury
  • Pledge to walk your dog every day for proper health and behavior management

How will you celebrate next year’s National Dog Day?
