Bill Leads Cobb Youth Leadership to Stone Mountain
Over the weekend our Topdog, Bill, headed to Stone Mountain Park for the Cobb Youth Leadership (CYL) Spring Retreat and Graduation. Packed into two (awesome) fur buses, Bill and Angela, CYL co-chair, led 65 excited high school juniors to a jam-packed weekend at the iconic Georgia mountain.
The trip started off with a special lunch delivery and leadership speech from Paul Damico, CEO of Moe’s Southwest Grill.
Fun Fact: Did you know Moe’s only plays music made famous by musicians who have passed? Like Bob Marley and Frank Sinatra. Moe’s pays tribute to musical legends by playing their music while you chow down on that Joey Bag of Donuts.
During his quick session, Damico discussed the importance of leadership and creating your “personal brand.” This means, paying attention to what you do, promote and how you present yourself because all of these factors affect your personal image. In leadership, it’s important to assess what means the most to you–become a “servant leader.” Paul is a great example of a servant leader, taking great importance in his efforts to support the community.
Throughout the weekend the CYL group participated in scavenger hunts (congratulations on your win, yellow team) mini golf and enjoyed the famous Lasershow Spectacular!
“The weekend was one of the best yet. I’m very excited to build on the last 25 years of Cobb Youth Leadership and make next year the best class ever!” – Bill Musial, Cobb Youth Leadership, Mopdog Creative + Strategy.
