The Joy of Being a Father
Firing up the grill and enjoying the sunshine or getting away from the city and heading up to the mountains are always great ways to enjoy Father’s Day with the family. We might spend the day with Cheryl’s parents (mine live up north), or play card games with friends in the area. Our favorite to play with a big group of people is the “Screw Your Neighbor” card game. The more people, the more fun and competitive the game gets!
This Father’s Day, we will be coming back from a trip to Virginia for a Lacrosse prospect camp for Zach, and I couldn’t be happier. That’s what Father’s Day is all about – it’s about quality time with the people you love. It’s about appreciating the opportunities you have as a father to make an impact in your family’s lives. It’s about seeing your children grow up and being proud of the men (and women for other families) that they are becoming, knowing you were able to have a part in their upbringing.
No matter how you’re celebrating Father’s Day this year, I hope you find joy in the moments you’re given with your family. For me, there’s no better gift than the quality time watching my sons pursue what they love to do!
Don’t forget to take our survey “Technology Through the Ages” when all the generations of your family are together this weekend! Enjoy comparing the differences in technology use from grandkids all the way to great grandparents!
